In a culture that is constantly pulling children away from their families and the Lord… these two truths couldn’t be more pivotal in the times we are in. With so many distractions like tablets, tv, sports, gaming… along with daycare, school, extra-curricular activities, events, etc… we are consumed in a world that isolates all of us, much less our children.

But at what cost?

None of those things I listed are bad or sinful… but they shouldn’t be a replacement for what matters most. The Lord tells us that children are a heritage and a reward (Psalm 127:3-5) and that parents are to train them up in the right path so that when they are old, they will not depart from it.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ~Proverbs 22:6

Mothers (and fathers), our children have been given to us to cherish and nurture and grow. We only have them for a short amount of time until they go out into the world. What will it matter if we give them the best education and earthly gifts… but don’t tell them they need Jesus as their Savior? (Mark 8:36)

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

One day we will meet God and He will hold us accountable for what we did with the children He gave us. Let us gracefully take back our roles and lead our children to the narrow path of righteousness which leads to an abundant life that extends to eternity.♡
